We finally made it to the Rose Red City of Petra in Jordan. This has always been a place I've been wanting to visit, so it was a dream come true and incredibly, it's even more mind-blowing in person. It was definitely an adventure of a lifetime and I'm glad to have experienced it with the Pow!Wow! family.

'ANANDA' Limited Edition Print | Available Now

I'm very pleased to announce our first official print of the year, 'Ananda,' as in 'Sat-chit-ananda', which is a Sanskrit term that describes the nature of reality as it is conceptualized in Hindu and yogic philosophy. Some consider sat-chit-ananda to be the same as God or Brahman (Absolute Reality). Others use it as a term to describe the experience of realizing the unity and wholeness of all existence. A common translation of sat-chit-ananda is "truth-consciousness-bliss." Sometimes sat-chit-ananda is considered to be a triple consciousness, where all three elements can be taken separately or considered as one because, in reality, each element is found in everything. It is said that sat-chit-ananda is the source of all consciousness and all perfection. To experience sat-chit-ananda is to achieve the ultimate goal of the spiritual journey in Hinduism or yoga.

Together, through art and activism, we can help save our seas. One of Earth's most ancient creatures, green sea turtles spend their entire lives at sea, except when adult females come ashore to lay eggs several times per season every 2 to 5 years. From greens to loggerheads, six of the seven species of sea turtles are endangered at the hand of humans.

'Ahimsa' is the Sanskrit word for nonviolence or compassion. It is the principle and practice of nonviolence toward all living beings in one's thoughts, words, or deeds. As a concept, Ahimsa is the recognition of the dynamic unity of reality where all life is interconnected and interdependent.

PRAYER WHEEL INSTALLATION | Brand Library

This prayer wheel is inspired by the spiritual technology of Tibet, where they are commonly referred to as Mani wheels. This is a device for spreading spiritual blessings, positive karma and peace, a clock-wise revolution of which symbolizes the repetition of the prayer (mantra), 'Om Mani Padme Hum'. Tibetan Buddhists believe that saying this mantra, out loud or silently to oneself, invokes the powerful benevolent attention and blessings of Chenrezig (Avalokiteshvara), the Bodhisattva of compassion.

In connection to Sadhana, spiritual practice, the meaning of Satya is "the benevolent use of words and the mind for the welfare of others."  It is described as an important virtue and a fundamental precept in the Yoga Sutras of Patanjali, the sage of yoga.
